Victoriano Huerta

Victoriano Huerta was born on December 23, 1854 in Colotlan, Mexico. He died on January 13, 1916 in El Paso, Texas. He was married to Emilia Aguila. He was the Mexican President from February 1913 to July 1914. He was a dictator when he ruled Mexico. He went to Chapultepec Military College. After a military career under President Diaz, Huerta was a high-ranking general in the military. Before Huerta became a dictator, he led a revolution against the government in which Madero was removed from office and then he was killed. Huerta was hated by the Mexicans because he had ordered someone to kill the president during the revolution.

The massacre of the revolution has been largely forgotten and the different commanders have taken on legendary status, much of it undeserved.

In conclusion, not only did Victorian Huerta manage to get the countrys to work together, he also left an amazing legacy. He died from Cirrhosis of the liver, which most likely came from him being an alcoholic. The rebel commanders all agreed on one thing, Huerta should not be president. So once he was gone they began fighting one another, which lead to the worst years of brutal revolution. Huerta’s legacy was not considered a positive one and he was a violent drunk, who lengthened the revolution, to help reach his goal. However, by doing this he was responsible for the deaths of thousands.
