any day that I had off work. I would sit and listens to them read or watch them struggle with a math problem but when they would finally get the word or figure out the math problem it was if a light went on. There eyes would light up some would even jump up and down in there seats it would make my heart pound with excitement for the child. There is nothing more satisfying then to see a child who wants to learn and to be the one to help him/her reach that goal.
I really want to be able to teach the Special Student, the students that many teachers give up on or they get lost in the black hole of the system. I have dealt with many Special Education Teachers that where not qualified to even sit with a dog much less a child. They deserve an equal chance to learn as every other child. Nevertheless, they are more of a challenge and I like a challenge especially one that someone has given up on.
