Although Confucianism and Christianity were almost identical in the roles of women, Christianity offered more equality between men and women then Confucianism offered women due to their different beliefs.

Confucianism and Christianity were similar in women�s role between labor and housework. The statues of women in both civilizations were patriarchal. Women in both cultural systems never had the dominant role. Women were never offered education in either cultural system. Instead they would only do the housework and didn�t make income. offered women education because they believed a women�s place was at home. Women were supposed to be supplied by the men in the house and they would do all the housework. Another part of a women�s role was she was supposed to please the men in the house even sexually. Women had very similar roles when it can to labor and housework in both cultural systems. Even though neither of the cultural systems gave women power they were still required to be respected because both Christianity and Confucianism believed in family respect.

Christianity and Confucianism were different because women had to do the same type of labor but Christianity rewarded them with more freedom. If you were a women in Christianity you were able to become a priest, but only a few amount could actually become priests.
