My fellow women, we have suffered long enough! It is time to take a stand against those who have suppressed us. Many men have categorized women as gentle, dainty, and ditsy creatures. They believe we are not capable of independent thought, and they are born with the right to make our decisions for us. Did they forget those who carried them, nursed them, raised them, and dressed them until they were ready to be handed off to their wives, who will continue to wait on them hand and foot until they die spoiled and old.

Men doubt that a majority of women have the desire to vote! If that was true why did over 4,000 women sign the petition in 1891? It�s 1901 get with the times! You are all acting like its 1852!
Men claim that we already have some influence in the election, since we �indirectly influence� who they select on the ballot. I have two points against this, number one; what about the widows, or the ladies who have chosen not to marry, and number two; if we already have some influence why not just give us the whole cake and let us vote ourselves!
I also dare a man to come up to me and say that I do not have the emotional strength or ability to make a difference with what effects our great nation. Have men stayed up until 3 in the morning caring for a sick infant? Women are also stronger when it comes to socializations ...
