Yum Cha is served a differently in Australia. The restaurants usually serve Yum Cha between 11.30am to 3.30pm. It is called Yum afternoon Cha. I think Yum Cha replaces lunch in Australia, where the customers stuff themselves full. Dim Sum (snack) is served in Yum Cha, however a migrant from Malaysia redefined the meaning of Dim Sum by introducing something taste so awful and spoiled the true meaning of Dim Sim. Dim Sum features bite-sized morsels of meat, seafood and vegetables wrapped in a thin coating of pastry or dough and either steamed, braised, fried or boiled.
