is a story about a clerk named Sammy. Sammy is eighteen almost nineteen year old boy that is a junction in his life. He isn't sure in what he really want to do. The story starts off with three girls that walk in with bathing suits on. The girls are really gorgeous and stop all the workers from working. Sammy is overtaken by all of the girl's beauty. After the girl's are done their getting their one thing they wanted, they go through the till. Lengel, the manager, approached them after and told them that what they were wearing was inappropriate in the store. Lengel embarrassed the girls but his reasoning for doing it was they were embarrassing the store. Sammy quickly says 'I ...

Sammy knew he had been working there for a long time and was getting sick of working there. I believe Sammy felt as if he was placed in the job and was never going to move. Sammy was given the job from his parents knowing the manager. I don't think Sammy had the feeling that he went out and got that job for himself. Sammy probably felt very weak in his heart. Sammy needed a reason to leave and found one with the girls walking in with swim suits on.
Although I think Sammy regrets his decision to quit. While he was quitting he realized he could be making a mistake but continued on because he feels that once you start a movement or gesture you must follow through with it.
