Throughout history, it seems women and especially African American has taken a serious hit to the stomach! Even though during World War II, women aided the war efforts tremendously. Also after helping without complaints, the women were referred to as �auxiliaries�. As if to say women are �extensions� that men can just put anywhere to fill the blanks! I am disgusted and appalled this went on for so long and is still going on today! It is very sickening to think that many African American men that served in the war did not get their GI benefits and were also given a dishonorable discharge, just for simply being a different race! it�s still happening. The Ku Klux Klan even tried to stop the progress of the Native American community to reclaim the land that was stolen from them. Native Americans also fought for equal rights, and freedom from discrimination. The Jewish community also took a beating from the white community. I think every non-white community had to deal with horrible treatment from the �whites�!
It is also very clear that many Caucasians aren�t aware of the racism because they are the ones that are dishing it out, and they aren�t on the receiving end of the racism so they aren�t aware of it racism at all. Therefore, it is not surprising that the decedents of slave owners and traders don�t see racism as a problem. Slave owners even made it extremely hard for people who came to the United States willingly, like the Jewish Oriental and Europeans.
