Ayn Rand states that in order for a civilization to survive, men have to reject the morality of altruism. When in reality isn't altruism embedded in the lives of all? Altruism is an act of kindness in which the doer does not benefit in any way. So wouldn't implications arise in a world with constant interaction if the nature of altruism is rejected?
