Another important pair is that of Hagar and Sarah. Sarah was Abraham's first wife. However, Sarah did not have the ability to bear children. And so Abram listened to his wife Sarah, and he took Hagar as a wife. He then went in to her and bore a child. The child's name between Hagar and Abram was Ishmael.
