The book Frankenstein portrays a craving for companionship. Though the Monster may have seemed like a cruel, mean creature, all he really wanted was a friend.
Ever since Victors mother died, he became obsessed with creating human life. This is how he came up with his ingenious idea to create his creature. �I will pioneer a new way, explore unknown powers, and unfold to the world the deepest mysteries of creation� (page 45).
