Charles Darwin


was born in Shrewsbury,England on February 12,
1809.He was the grandson of Erasmus Darwin. His mother died when he was 8-
years-old.His sister raised him from then on.
Darwin went to Christ�s College in Cambridge to study theology
further.That was around 1827.He couldn�t find anything he liked until
theology. Darwin is considered the father of evolution. He set sail on the �
BEAGLE� to Patagonia from 1831-1836. Darwin�s was becoming a naturalist. He
visited places all over the world. Darwin traveled near and far. During his
voyages in 5 years, he gained knowledge of the flora,fauna,and geology from
all over the place.It helped him out for later voyages.His papers about his

Darwin had many volumes of Origin of Species published from 1859-82.
Darwin�s natural selection was basically saying that some things aren�t
needed. Those are called vestigial organs. These concepts were formed by
Darwin�s theory of evolution by natural selection. Organisms of the same
species often have differences in individual variations. The second concept
is, competition among organisms often led to deaths of some of the same
organisms.
Darwin died at age 73 in 1882.Charles Darwin was buried at
Westminster Abbey near Isaac Newton. So Darwin�s life wasn�t too shabby. He
became pretty famous, some thought his theory was all mythology, but he
