In the play Antigone, Sophocles analyzes the personality of two main characters. There is a great deal of conflict between Antigone and Creon during the play. Antigone and Creon have their own distinct beliefs and opinions relevant to divine and human law. However, Antigone and Creon share similarities in personality throughout the play. Both of the characters are stubborn, independent, and loyal to their beliefs.

Antigone and Creon are very stubborn and willful people. Antigone made a very strong decision disregarding consequences of the situation. She didn�t listen to her sister Ismene�s reasoning and also didn�t allow her to take any part in her actions. Even though death would be the result of this incident, Antigone was determined to bury her brother. Creon stands by the rule he has made. He goes against Antigone, his son Haemon, and divine law by sticking to his rule.
Finally, Creon and Antigone both share identical characteristics. A lot of their personality and character is similar, but their opinions and beliefs are so distinct that it has caused disagreement between the two.
