Yellow portrays dominance and power, which people of high status, such as Gatsby, had. Yellow is also the dominant color most people use to highlight with. Highlighting allows words to stand out just as Mr. Gatsby�s wealth stands out due to his outrageous parties. Yellow gives people the view that Mr. Gatsby has money and is first-class. Both colors depict Mr. Gatsby; he is mysteriousness or prosperous.
The colors white and green develop Gatsby�s personality traits. First off, everything Gatsby did was to grab the attention of Daisy, his love. He hasn�t seen her for around five years.
