Mr. Millard Smallwood is a computer programmer, working for the United States Government. He works in the Defense Intelligence Agency, currently assigned to Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Center at Fort Detrick, in Frederick Maryland.
When asked about the use of Calculus in his line of work, Mr. Smallwood reflected about the usefulness of this branch of mathematics in his work. He explained that calculus is a phrase we use to denote the branch of mathematics, which studies properties of functions or curves that are associated with the limit process.
