Luther became angry and wrote �95 theses� and nailed it to the churches� door. The Pope send him a Bull ordering Luther to recant but Luther burned the Bull and was excommunicated by the Pope.

Calvin lived in France and France was Catholic. But Calvin had different ideas so Calvin had to flee.

Luther�s goal was to reform the church, it was achieved, but in a different way as he wanted. Luther only wanted to reform it, but his followers began a revolt and started to destroy statues in the church and destroy paintings. And later Lutheranism became a church of its own, apart from the Catholic Church.

Calvin�s goal was to bring back the real faith as meant by God and as taught by the Bible. He accomplished it, and Calvinism also became a church of its own.

Luther wrote essays and books which were published throughout Europe so his ideas were mainly spread by his books and essays.

Calvin�s publications spread his ideas of a correctly reformed church many parts of Europe. ...
