The Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft) has been under investigation since 1990 for alleged antitrust violations. The Department of Justice (DOJ) feels that Microsoft holds a monopoly in the field of operating systems (OSs), and that Microsoft has made unlawful exercises of monopoly power.
The DOJ argues that Microsoft is trying to eliminate the Internet competition by integrating their popular operating system, and using their market power to force distributors into agreements that favor Microsoft over its competitors. Microsoft defends its actions by saying that integrating Internet Explorer into Windows is a way to enhance its operating system as part to make the products better.

By putting the web browser into the Windows OS it allows the user to do much more. It will be easier to transfer data from the web into the computer when they can work as one.
Computer has become a very important part nowadays. Why? The Internet, because it gives us a lot of information at our fingertips. That is exactly what an integrated browser would do for the Windows OS. Other software companies have already done a similar thing with their operating systems at IBM. Not being able to improve on a product would be the end of any type of production oriented company.
