in order to keep ourselves motivated. We should also expect a certain amount of feedback to determine whether or not we need to do some adjusting towards that goal; feedback should be found as encouraging and motivating, which would also help us achieve our goals.
Abraham Maslow had a theory, which is named Maslow's need hierarchy. In this theory, Maslow suggested that people feel motivated to fulfill their basic needs before they continue on with their other needs. Such needs can be placed into a basic pyramid with the basic needs being placed towards the bottom, and the more eccentric needs being found more towards the top. This pyramid can be found being represented as a progressive approach toward ones self-actualization and through this motivation a person can easily obtain a high level of self esteem or worth.
