My Life Challenge

Being born next to the youngest of fifteen siblings made life a little harder then I expected it would be; even more after losing my mother at such a young age: even though there were a lot of hardship my history, my goals, and my responsibility are shaping my future.

Even thou' I was only ten when my mom died, I still was a child with big goals: like finishing school, going to college, and opening my own business. Farm life was good, but it was not something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I knew that achieving these goals now was going to be a little more difficult; since my mom was gone I felt like my motivation was gone. With-out a mother figure around to guide me; at the age of sixteen I was a mother myself; which was another block for me achieving my goals. I had to quit school with only one year to go; but on the farm there was no day-care so I had no other choice, but to quit school and tend to my baby. I still had ambitions; and staying on the farm was not for me; so I gathered my son and my little brother and took that big move to the city. The city I thought would be the place I would have a better chance to fulfill my goals.
