Routine Activity Theory

A theory of victimization that believes, social causes have little effect on how crime is committed is called the Routine Activities Theory. This theory believes that you are more likely to be a victim of a mugging if you are out for an evening walk than locked in your home. This theory, born of a series of papers by Lawerence Cohen and Marcus Felson, ( Miro ) provide clear and strong teachings into the cause of most crime.
