It made me think that I hadn't realized how much I was letting the past drag me down. I was holding far too strongly on fond memories, and not paying attention to the fact that - for most of these memories - their futures were going nowhere. It was time to let go of these things. End a relationship and focus on the present and future. My close friends and the indie playlist we had still blaring was exactly what I needed. Through the sixteen hour car ride all four of us barely slept. We talked about everything in our lives and what we needed to change .We all felt it was time to make changes and that this trip would be the start of what was to become. We all felt going to California and to the beach was the best place to get away and that's exactly what happened. By six o'clock the next day we arrived to our Destination.
