1) What types of bodies are displayed? What shapes, sizes, colors?

There body types displayed are thin. They are selling things like perfume, makeup, jewelry and clothing. Most pictures were of girls, they were tall and thin and had the majority of them were white with blonde or brunette hair and blue eyes. I only saw only two black models in the whole magazine. There seemed to be just one kind of body type through out every page. I used to look at these magazines growing up and want to look like these girls but the truth is that this is not every ones idea of beautiful, but it sure looks that way. 3) What does the text say about the images?

The text about referring to make up says "This look knows no boundaries" or" Who wouldn't want more" or " Siren, Vixen, Temptress, Flirt ? For every shade of you." They don't even have to have any text at all besides what it is. As long as there is a beautiful person and colors representing it you don't need much. Sex seems to be the selling point for most things and it seems to be directed at women more than men. I feel like it makes the women more pressured to impress the men with the make up, perfume and the clothes.

4) How do the images reflect the "rules" about male and female beauty in our society?

In our society if you are a woman it is expressed in these magazines that your are pretty if you have a small frame, large breast, small waist, thin legs and stomach, long thick hair and high cheek bones long eyelashes puffy lips and a smaller nose.
