Atlantic than with their own parents. Many producing companies give up making movies due to the fact that their movies might not make it to the global market. Yet, this does not mean that people have stopped making movies based on their own cultures. Bollywood is an excellent example of that, where India has become one of world's leading producers of fiction films. Other countries such as France have also retained a strong position in the movie industry.

Therefore it is incorrect that foreign movies are only bad copies of American blockbuster movies. In fact there are times where the situation is reversed. There are countless Hollywood movies that are based on or inspired by foreign films which did not get the same credit.
