I remember as a child I would always compare myself to the women in magazines wishing I was as skinny, sexy, or beautiful as her. The media is a powerful determinant in influencing our society. The media is a bad influence on us, because it can lead us to wrong decisions or life threatening problems. Other examples of the media messing with our heads is airbrushing models on the cover of magazines to make them seem perfect, when really they are just normal people and telling us to get surgeries to make our bodies like the models on the cover of magazines.
