The result of this was unusual, normally when the country is in a national crisis they get mad at the government leading to distrust towards government. A vivid depiction of history repeating itself is simply stated by Cicero in 55 BC, �The budget should be balanced, the treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, and the arrogance of officialdom should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.
