For days, the proud citizens of Aragon and the citizens of Morocco have awaited the news of whether or not their Prince would be the one to gain the love of the fair maiden Portia. Portia, the fairest in all the land, has countless suitors. Both Princes travelled to Belmont to be one of many to compete for Portia, the ultimate prize in a lottery devised by her father. Her father�s will consisted of a lottery; a lottery so extravagant that it drew the attention of all the eligible men in Europe. The lottery is straightforward and has only three simple rules. Our valiant and noble Prince of Aragon traveled to Belmont to win Portia�s hand in marriage. Our Prince, handsome and canny, has received much adoration from maidens in our own country.
