The Civil War, a violent, bloody memory in the history of the United States, and in the minds of the countless number of people that it changed. Civil War, according to Webster�s Dictionary, is a time when a country, civilization or union-ship break apart due to political or other indifferences; or a time of civil un-arrest. Word�s seem so unable to describe the actual events, the actual blood and the actual tears that were spilled during this dark time period in American history. No matter how many books, novels or textbooks are read, the only way to come even remotely close to reliving this dark time in American history is through movies. that their problems would take care of themselves, and as long as they had control over the congress nothing could hurt their interests. People threw parties, laughed, made jokes about Abe Lincoln, and overall were quite carefree. The world around them seemed to collapse with the onslaught of the Civil War. They were out-gunned, out-manned and out-produced. They knew that they could not win the war, however they decided to fight for their way of life. After the war, the North and South became even more so separated, the northern soldiers were treated as an enemy occupation army in the south, and the northern businessmen attempted to take advantage of the southerner�s need for money. The attitude of the southerners quickly changed and only through time and hard work were their wounds healed.
