Why You Should Move to the Colonies Letter

England's citizens were not happy with the conditions they had to live with. People detested the Church of England, and even more were suffering there in poverty. They had nowhere to go besides prison if they stayed. In the New World, Pennsylvania was becoming a great colony to travel/move to because of their religious state of freedom, economy, and relationship with the natives.

Rules and freedom of religion were different here, than it was back in England. William Penn, Pennsylvania's founder, established the colony as self-governing, so people were allowed to practice any religion because of that. Pennsylvania had a great economy, much thanks to their wonderful climate and weather conditions, not to mention their amazing fertile soil, one of their greatest natural resources. People actually made a living by planting/farming crops. Workers earned very fair wages for their service, no matter their background, and poor people were able to earn much money too. This was rather important because people in poverty in England could come and make a living, and earn money to give a better life to themselves and any family they may have. '
